Ruffles was lifted onto the hard at Universal for a fresh coat of antifouling and maintenance. With a lot of help from Hamble Yacht Services the horrible old stuffing box was replaced with a Deep Sea Seal. No more mopping salt water from under the engine and scooping goop into the grease injector!

Twelve months in the Hamble and the hull isn't too badly fouled however the unprotected prop is distinctly furry. I had noticed that she was struggling to make 6 knots under power. This year I'm trying a single coat of antifouling on the prop.
