Elizabeth was born on Saint Patrick's day, 17th March 2001. She took her first trip on Ruffles at the age of one month.
Here she is at three and a half months issuing orders and keeping an eye on Mum and Dad from her 'car' seat secured in the companion way. The car seat is bolted to a hardwood lath that fits into the slot for the washboards. A cord is attached to the handrail as backup.
When it all becomes too much she can be put into a basket in the saloon secured behind a lee cloth.
All that fresh air means a healthy appetite - and a post feed snooze...
